Driving cars other than your long-term test car is a useful reminder of how good the Volvo XC60 does things.
In the recent past I’ve been driving a few cars with keyless entry systems, where you just leave the key in your pocket and pull the handle to unlock and open the car, then push a button on the handle when you leave the car to lock it.
But not all systems are as simple and well thought-out as the Volvo’s. On the XC60 not only are the front door handles linked up, but so are the rear handles (often missing from rivals’ systems). If you’ve got kids you’ll know that you open the rear doors of a car first to put your youngsters in before you get in the front.
That’s one-nil to the Volvo then.
