BusinessCar Award-winning fleet management software firm CFC Solutions has launched a new pay-as-you-go option for its Fleet Plus fleet management system.
The company hopes its new approach will attract new businesses currently put off by the initial outlay of systems.
“The recession has actually increased levels of interest in fleet software because it allows companies to really get a grip on the costs of operating company cars, vans and trucks,” said CFC boss Neville Briggs. “However those same companies are also sometimes unable to fund a traditional software purchase.”
CFC is particularly targeting public sector fleets, as it claims that pay-as-you-go could help avoid a lengthy tendering process for software or doubts about the initial outlay.
“Clearly, the public sector is being affected by the tough economic conditions as much as anyone,” said Briggs. “Many want to adopt new fleet software but – similarly to private companies – cannot afford the initial cost. PAYG gives them a new route.”
Briggs also said the software should pay for itself in the efficiencies it creates: “On a month-by-month basis, we are confident that it will more than pay for itself in terms of savings made.”
