Skoda has given its new small 4×4, the Yeti, its public debut at the Geneva motor show.

The baby off-roader comes with the option of five engines – two petrols and three diesels. It also offers the choice of both front- and four-wheel-drive.

Skoda claims the Yeti is based on its modular platform, rather than being based on any one of its existing models. However, it is being touted as a potential rival to Nissan‘s upper-medium soft roader, the Qashqai.

Yeti prices aren’t yet available, but Skoda maintains it will persist with the brand’s approach of being good value for money.

It is expected to arrive with first UK customers in September this year.
