Honda has leapt to first place in the annual fleet website ranking carried out by BusinessCar magazine.
BusinessCar’s annual survey rates the best-performing manufacturer’s websites for people running and buying company cars.
Honda topped the chart that ranked the 20 best-selling business car brands, with BMW and Volkswagen taking equal second.
The annual ranking assesses each brand’s website in 10 categories including design, ease of use, speed of response to enquiries and car tax calculator performance.
“Overall we’ve seen a substantial improvement in scores from last year, particularly from the middle and lower order. However, it’s Honda that scooped first place, up from fifth last year,” said BusinessCar Editor-in-chief Tristan Young. “Honda’s fleet website is impressive all-round, but in an age when websites can quickly become complicated with supposedly clever features it was the Honda website’s ease of use which put it ahead of rivals.
“Given the amount of research carried out online by both business car drivers and business car managers before purchasing cars the BusinessCar web-ranking feature offers an excellent barometer to which manufacturers are working hardest to help customers.”
Commenting on the first place, Honda corporate operations manager Graham Avent said: “More and more of our customers – in both fleet and retail markets – are doing their initial research online, so it is very important for us to have a website that meets their needs.
“We aimed to provide a one-stop-shop resource, that delivers the key information quickly and easily, and we’re incredibly pleased and proud that’s it’s been rated best in the industry.”
While Honda scored 90% in BusinessCar’s chart, 20th placed Toyota scored just 58%.
