The Government has confirmed that Alistair Darling’s 2008 Pre-Budget Report will be delivered on Monday 24 November.

The report is expected to contain modifications to controversial planned VED changes plus details of how the Chancellor aims to steer the country through and out of the impending recession.

Last year’s Pre-Budget Report contained a tax hike for drivers given free fuel by their company, as well as hints at the extra taxes levied on higher-CO2 vehicles that appeared on cue in the 2008 Budget last March.

BusinessCar.co.uk will have all the Pre-Budget Report news as it happens on 24 November.
