Toyota has unveiled the C-HR+, a new electric medium SUV.

Although its name is closely related to the existing hybrid C-HR, Toyota says the C-HR+ is a new model in its own right, with a bespoke 4,520mm-long body.

The C-HR+ will come with a choice of 57.7kWh and 77kWh batteries, allowing a provisional range of up to 373 miles on the WLTP cycle. Available power outputs will be 167hp, 224hp, and 343hp.

The model will come with a 14in multimedia screen as standard, and offer 416 litres of boot space.

The C-HR+ is scheduled to launch in the UK in late 2025, with full specs and prices yet to be announced.

The C-HR+ will form part of a three-pronged electric SUV line-up for Toyota, alongside the previously announced Urban Cruiser, and the existing BZ4X.

Toyota has also announced updates for the BZ4X, which will be offered with a choice of 57.7kWh and 73.1kWh battery options, with a provisional WLTP range of up to 356 miles. Available power outputs will be 167hp, 224hp, and 343hp.

The updated model will also feature a new battery pre-conditioning function, and a new 22kW AC onboard charger.

The BZ4X also gets exterior and interior design tweaks, with a new instrument panel design, and a 14in multimedia display as standard.

The updated BZ4X is due to launch after this summer, with UK specs and prices still to be confirmed.
