
Toyota has confirmed UK specs for the Urban Cruiser, its new compact electric SUV.
The model is being made available with a choice of Icon, Design, and Excel equipment grades. The Icon and Design grades will come with a 49kWh EV battery, while the Excel grade will come with a 61kWh battery.
Other equipment with the Icon grade includes 18in alloy wheels, air conditioning with a heat pump, a 10.1in infotainment screen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25in driver display, 12-colour ambient cabin lighting, a driver monitoring camera, a reversing camera, a blind spot monitor, a pre-collision system, adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist, and road sign assist.
Further features with the Design grade include a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, auto-retracting heated door mirrors, a wiper de-icer, and rear cabin air vents.
Further features with the Excel grade include 19in alloy wheels, a JBL premium sound system, bi-tone exterior paint, part-synthetic leather upholstery, a panoramic roof, LED adaptive high-beam headlights, a wireless smartphone charger, and a 360-degree camera system.
Prices for the Urban Cruiser are yet to be announced. Toyota says these will be confirmed ahead of orders opening in the summer, with the first customer deliveries expected during the fourth quarter of this year.
