Peugeot is to introduce more powerful versions of its E-3008 and E-5008 SUVs.

The new Dual Motor variants will feature a 213hp front motor and 112hp rear motor, combining to offer 325hp and all-wheel drive.

Peugeot has also announced a new five-seater version of the 5008, which it says is intended to offer extra luggage capacity, with 994 litres of boot space with the second-row seats in place.

The new variants were announced during Peugeot’s E-Lion Day media event, at which the brand also announced an upgraded version of its battery pre-conditioning system. This will now link to Peugeot EVs’ onboard trip planner, with automatic triggering designed to ensure the battery is in the best condition to charge when the driver plans to stop.

The upgraded pre-conditioning system is due to roll out across Peugeot’s EV range during the next year. UK specs, prices and on-sale dates for the E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor, and for the five-seater 5008, are yet to be confirmed.
