Vauxhall has opened orders for its new Frontera.
As previously announced, the medium SUV is being made available at the same starting price for electric and petrol mild hybrid powertrains, at £23,495 with the entry-level Design equipment grade.
That is with a 100hp mild hybrid powertrain – a 136hp version of this is also available, starting at £25,005.
The EV features a 113hp motor and a 44kWh battery, with a range between charges of 186 miles on the WLTP combined cycle – a version with a bigger battery and longer range will subsequently join the line-up later this year.
The new Frontera is also available with the GS equipment grade, priced at £25,895 for the EV and 100hp mild hybrid, and £27,415 for the 136hp mild hybrid.
Standard equipment with the Design grade includes automatic headlights and wipers, two 10in screens, sat-nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless smartphone charging, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, cruise control with speed limiter, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and driver attention alert.
Further equipment with the GS grade includes 17in alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, LED tail lights, climate control, front parking sensors, and an electro-chromatic rear view mirror.
