Audi has unveiled a new, second-generation version of its Q5 Sportback SUV-coupe.
There will be a choice of three engine options at launch – 204hp and 367hp mild hybrid petrols (the latter with the performance SQ5 variant) and a 204hp mild hybrid diesel. All powertrain options come with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
Audi says the new Q5 Sportback features a sleeker design than the first-generation model. There is a boot capacity of up to 515 litres, and a towing capacity of up to 2,400kg.
Sport, S Line, and Edition 1 equipment grades will be available.
Orders will open on 14 January. Prices will start at £52,450, for a 204hp petrol Sport, representing a £2,500 premium over the Q5 SUV. Prices for the Q5 Sportback will rise as high as £76,900 for the SQ5 Edition 1.
The first customer deliveries are due in May 2025.
