Cupra has revealed the Terramar, its new medium SUV.

Among the powertrain options with the model will be a plug-in hybrid with 272hp, offering more than 70 miles of electric range. There will also be petrol and mild hybrid options.

The model’s exterior design is said to follow Cupra’s new design language, with a three-triangle signature featuring HD matrix LED headlights. The rear of the model features an illuminated Terremar name, and a diffuser.

Interior features include a digital cockpit display, a 12.9in infotainment screen, and a 12-speaker Sennheiser sound system.

A range of sustainability-focused interior materials will be available, including 100% upcycled Seaqual Yarn, Dinamica with at least 73% recycled textile, or leather that uses a plant-based tanning process.

Features designed to enhance driving dynamics include standard sport suspension, progressive steering, adaptative chassis control and Akebono brakes.

Full UK specs and prices for the Terramar are yet to be confirmed.
