Audi has confirmed UK specs and prices for its new A5.
The manufacturer is replacing both the old A4 saloon and estate and A5 coupe with the new A5, which is being made available as both a saloon and an Avant estate. Audi says the change has been made to reflect its new naming convention, in which even numbers denote electric models and odd numbers are given to cars with combustion engines.
With the new A5, engine options are 150hp and 204hp petrols, a 204hp mild hybrid diesel, and a 367hp mild hybrid petrol (the latter with the S5 performance variant).
There is a choice of Sport, S Line, and Edition 1 equipment grades. Standard equipment with the Sport grade includes 18in alloy wheels, LED headlights, Audi Assistant voice functionality, and the Digital Stage – a curved, free-standing OLED panoramic MMI display integrating an 11.9in virtual cockpit display and a 14.5in touchscreen.
Further features of the S Line grade include 19in alloy wheels, privacy glass, and various cosmetic S Line features.
Extra equipment with the Edition 1 grade includes 20in alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, a 10.9in front passenger screen, and a 360-degree camera system.
Range prices start at £41,950, for a 150hp Sport saloon.
Orders are open now, with the first deliveries due in November.
