Honda used the British motor show to display a two-seat Open Sports Model that may reach production, depending on public reaction.
Honda described the European-designed car as a “study to gauge reaction and interest” rather than a concept.
Honda claimed the OSM is designed with the aim of being a low-emitting car, but has not been created with any particular powertrain in mind.
Honda also displayed the CR-Z concept car at the motor show, which will be going into production.
The production car will bear a strong resemblance to the concept. A spokesman said: “Quite a substantial amount will be carried over.”
The CR-Z is expected to reach production “in the next two to three years”.
