Kia has unveiled the EV3, its new small electric SUV.
The model will come with a 204hp electric motor, and a choice of 58.3kWh or 81.4kWh batteries, with the latter offering an estimated range of up to 373 miles on the WLTP test cycle.
DC charging speeds of 102kW for the 58.3kWh version and 128kW for the 81.4kWh version will allow a 10-80% battery charge in around 31 minutes.
Kia says the EV3 will be the first model to be made available with its new i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking technology, said to allow the driver to adjust the level of regenerative braking according to their preference, enabling one-pedal driving.
The EV3 measures 4,300mm long, 1,850mm wide, and 1,560mm high, and boasts a 460-litre boot, as well as a 25-litre ‘frunk’.
Interior technology includes a near-30in combined widescreen display, featuring a 12.3in driver display, a 12.3in infotainment screen, and a 5in air conditioning control panel.
The European launch of the EV3 will take place during the second half of 2024. Full UK specs and prices are yet to be announced.
