Kia has confirmed UK specs and prices for the updated version of its Picanto city car.
The model is available with a choice of 2, GT-Line, 3, and GT-Line S equipment grades. All come with a 63hp petrol engine, except for the GT-Line S, which comes with a 78hp petrol engine. There is a choice throughout the range of five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.
Standard equipment with the 2 grade includes 14in alloy wheels, automatic headlights and wipers, air conditioning, an 8in touchscreen with sat-nav, a 4.2in driver display screen, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane follow assist, cruise control with intelligent speed limit assist and speed limiter, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Further equipment with the GT-Line grade includes 16in alloy wheels, GT-Line exterior and interior styling, LED headlights, DRLs and tail lights, slectrically adjustable heated and folding door mirrors, privacy glass, and a rear USB socket.
Features of the 3 grade include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, automatic air conditioning, wireless mobile phone charging, and keyless entry and go.
Features of the GT-Line S grade include a sunroof, customisable ambient lighting, upgraded autonomous emergency braking, and blind spot collisions avoidance assist.
Prices start at £15,595 for the 2 grade, and rise to £16,745 for GT-Line, £17,545 for 3, and £18,445 for GT-Line S. Cars with automatic gearboxes incur a £700 premium.
Orders are open now, with the first deliveries due from July.
