The MI5 has begun a manhunt for a new fleet boss to manage its range of covert vehicles.

Based in west London, the job involves becoming the of head of the secret service’s ‘vehicle support unit’ – more than just keeping Bond’s company Aston Martin in fine fettle.

According to our intelligence, the successful applicant is expected to further build relationships with dealer groups while managing the purchase and disposals of a varied array of vehicles.

To apply for one of the industry’s most tantalising jobs, candidates need at least three years fleet managing experience and be a qualified member of a professional body.

The service also demands candidates with a ‘strong technical background’, possibly to deal with Q’s potentially lethal modifications.

The closing date for applications is 22 September and the process and security checks could take up to six months.
