Dacia has added new standard equipment to cars in its UK model range, said to be chiefly motivated by safety legislation.
The manufacturer said that in line with new European Global Safety Regulation 2 (GSR2) legislation, its Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Jogger models now came as standard with intelligent speed assist, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking, driver drowsiness and attention warning, rear parking sensors, and automatic headlights.
In addition, a new ‘My Safety’ button allows drivers to easily retrieve personalised safety settings, and a Rescue QR Code on the windscreen allows emergency services to access vital information in the event of an accident.
Other spec upgrades to Dacia models include the Sandero line-up gaining new wheel and paint options, and a front USB-C port, while the Sandero Stepway gains wheel and paint options and a new front door decal.
The Jogger also gains the front door decal, while the Hybrid 140 version also gets a 7in driver display, and E-Save function allowing battery energy to be reserved for later in a trip.
