Volkswagen has opened orders for updated versions of its ID.4 and ID.5 EVs.
Both models are now available with a new 286hp electric powertrain, while the sportier GTX versions have seen their outputs increase by 41hp to 340hp.
Improved efficiency means the range of the ID.4 on the WLTP combined cycle has increased to up to 337 miles (10.5 miles further than before), while the ID.5 now has a range of up to 339 miles (an increase of 11.8 miles).
Maximum DC charging speeds have also been increased, from 135kW to 175kW, allowing enough charge for an extra 110 miles of range to be added in ten minutes.
Other updates to the models include a new-generation infotainment system, with a larger 12.9in screen and reconfigured menu structures and controls.
A new IDA voice assistant is said to offer improved natural voice control, while a Harman Kardon sound system is also newly available.
Prices for the ID.4 start at £46,035 for Life Pro spec, and rise as high as £53,865 for GTX, while prices for the ID.5 start at £50,940 for Style Pro spec, and rise as high as £56,545 for GTX Style.
