Kia has confirmed UK specs and prices for the EV9, its new flagship electric SUV.
There’s a choice of three equipment grades – Air, GT-Line, and GT-Line S. All have seven seats as standard, although a six-seater version of the GT-Line S with swivelling middle seats is optional.
All versions of the EV9 come with a 99.8kWh battery. The Air grade comes with a single 204hp motor, and a range of up to 336 miles on the WLTP cycle, while GT-Line and GT-Line S come with two motors, producing a total of 383hp, and a range of up to 308 miles.
Standard equipment with the Air grade includes 19in alloy wheels, LED headlights, tail lights, DRLs and front fog lights, rear privacy glass, electrically adjustable heated and folding door mirrors with integrated LED indicators, heated and ventilated front seats and outer second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone air conditioning, a three-screen dashboard layout with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless phone charging, a powered tailgate, navigation-based smart cruise control, 360-degree camera system, Highway Driving Assist 2 with hands-on detection, blind-spot collision avoidance assist with rear cross traffic assist, and blind spot view monitor system.
Further equipment with the GT-Line grade includes GT-Line exterior styling, a massaging driver’s seat, adaptive LED headlights, and aluminium pedals.
Further features of the GT-Line S grade include 21in alloy wheels, two sunroofs, a head-up display, and a 14-speaker Meridian Premium sound system.
Prices are £64,995 for the Air grade, £72,495 for GT-Line, £75,995 for GT-Line S, and £78,745 for the six-seater GT-Line S.
Pre-orders will open on 6 July, with the first deliveries scheduled for January 2024.
