Citroen is introducing a new powertrain option for its E-C4 and E-C4 X EVs.
It pairs a 54kWh battery with a 156hp electric motor, allowing a range of up to 260 miles on the official WLTP cycle.
The existing 50kWh/136hp powertrain, with a range of up to 222 miles, will also continue.
In addition, Citroen has also announced that it will be opening orders for new petrol and diesel C4 Xs, which it said were being introduced in response to demand. 100hp and 130hp petrol and 130hp diesel engine options will be available.
Prices and specs for all the above new variants are set to be announced imminently, with production of cars for the UK beginning in July.
