Mercedes-Benz has revealed the EQB, the latest member of its electric car range.
The EQB is a seven-seater SUV based on the GLB, Mercedes’s practicality-focused SUV.
The manufacturer says the EQB will arrive in the UK with a choice of two powertrains, badged 300 and 350, with the latter offering a driving range of up to 260 miles on the WLTP cycle, thanks to a usable battery capacity of 66.5kWh.
The EQB will be capable of charging at up to 100kW via a DC charger, allowing a 10-80% battery charge in just over 30 minutes.
The EQB features design traits previously introduced with other Mercedes EQ models, such as a black panel front grille and continuous front and rear light strips, while an interior Widescreen Cockpit display runs the MBUX infotainment system, with EV-specific sat-nav features considering factors such as charger locations and the effect of weather conditions on battery range.
Mercedes says the model’s third-row seats will be suitable for occupants up to 5ft 4in tall.
UK prices and specs for the EQB are due to be announced towards the end of this year.
