Road safety charity Brake will be running a free webinar aimed at employers and fleet and road safety professionals to educate them on driving in adverse weather conditions.

Brake’s campaign to prevent crashes with work vehicles, Global Fleet Champions, will be delivering the webinar on Tuesday 28 January 2020.

Its academic and practitioner experts will discuss the risks of driving in different weather conditions, how safe driving techniques and good vehicle maintenance can help minimise road danger during bad weather. They will also cover the technologies that are available to ensure drivers’ safety.

Sarah Plumb, senior fleet officer at Brake, said: “Wherever possible, drivers should avoid travelling during bad weather conditions, but when a journey is unavoidable, organisations need to ensure they have rigorous policies in place for both driver behaviour and vehicle maintenance to reduce the risk of a crash and ensure they keep their drivers as safe as possible.”
