A potential new ‘Brexit Day’, not to mention Halloween night, will not be able to detract attention away from us recognising and rewarding the very best in the fleet sector on 31 October.
Following the resounding success of last year’s event, which was attended by around 400 people, we have selected a new, larger venue for 2019 at the Hilton London Bankside, in the very heart of the city, and close to London Bridge station.
The Business Car Awards have a long history, but this will be the third event in the new evening format, and the hotel will be a fitting venue for our gala dinner and awards presentation.
Spread across 32 categories, and incorporating the Business Car Techies for the first time, this year’s awards will recognise the best the industry has to offer, with trophies for suppliers, fleet decision-makers and manufacturers.
New awards include green fleet manufacturer of the year and fleet supplier of the year.
Most of the entries will be evaluated by an expert judging panel drawn from across the fleet sector, each bringing their own insight and analysis to help arrive at the correct decisions.
Whole-life costs will be a key factor in selecting the car shortlists, although, as in previous years, readers will have the opportunity to cast their votes in two of the headline awards – manufacturer of the year and new car of the year.
Votes will be checked against the Business Car circulation database to ensure individual votes by fleet decision-makers are the only ones counted.
Submissions, with a deadline of 28 June will be required for all but the reader-voted awards and the main vehicle category awards, and can be made through a form available at www.businesscarawards.co.uk/entry-forms.
