A new tool to help customers report delivery damage to vehicles has been launched by Nexus Vehicle Rental.
The firm’s IRIS rental booking and management system now automatically sends an SMS link that allows customers to upload photographs of any damage to their vehicle on receipt, helping to avoid discrepancies in damage logs on return of the vehicle.
The service is being rolled out to all Nexus customers following its bespoke development for GB Rail.
Nexus says the feature comes in response to rising vehicle damage costs in the UK, which have increased by 32% during the past three years.
Nexus CEO David Brennan said: “There is a worrying trend of rising vehicle damage repairs and we want to provide ways to help our customers save money.
“Our new damage reporting tool allows client feedback to reach us immediately, allowing the smooth running of operations and preventing customers from being unnecessarily charged.
“We are constantly looking to develop our services with new and innovative software. The launch of our pioneering damage reporting tool is part of a streamlined system that helps flag any vehicle issues immediately, preventing costs from being passed on to our customers.”
