Vauxhall is looking to add a pick-up and a heavier, rear wheel-drive Movano to its range in the next few years, according to Vauxhall MD and European fleet boss Bill Parfitt.
Speaking exclusively to BusinessCar at last week’s CV Show, Parfitt said plans for the two vehicles were “in hand”.
Parfitt expected the addition of a pick-up to bring an annual sales increase of about 5000 vehicles and that in 2007 he expected Vauxhall to sell between 53,000 and 54,000 vans.
“We’re in discussions on Movano. When new Movano comes it will have the availability of both [front and rear drive],” he said. “The pick-up will come from either east Europe or the Far East, but no decision has been made yet.”
