The UK’s largest leasing company, Lex Autolease has announced it achieved fleet size growth of 3.9% in the first half of 2016 to 329,865 vehicles compared with the previous six months.
This represents a year-on-year rise of 8.5%, the leasing giant said.
Operating lease assets, meanwhile, have increased by 16% to £3.7bn, largely driven by a growth in SME activity with Lex saying it added more than 15,000 customers to its books in the first half of the year.
“We have made good progress in the first half of 2016 and are working hard to ensure we continue to provide the high quality service that has underpinned our growth in new customers and retention of existing customers,” said Tim Porter, managing director of Lex Autolease.”We remain on track to meet our ambitious five-year fleet growth plan. We continue to invest in our business and review our operating model to ensure that we keep on meeting our customers’ evolving needs and provide good value.”
