Civil engineering firm Cappagh has ordered a fleet of 83 Mercedes-Benz vans in a new fleet deal. The company said that most of the vans would be put to work on “prestigious utility contracts”.

The majority of the medium-length Sprinter 313 CDIs will be assigned to two-man crews responsible for attending pipe leaks and blockages and the vans will regularly tow trailers that carry 1.5-tonne diggers.

They are also fitted with jetting units, racking systems and Hope Safe-T-Bars.

“These are still early days but our first Mercedes-Benz Vans were competitively priced and are fit-for-purpose utility vehicles, while they’ve been well received by our crews,” said David Fahey, transport manager at Cappagh.
