Mitsubishi has revealed a higher-specification version of its Outlander PHEV 4×4, dubbed GX5h and GX5hs. It is priced from £44,995 and is on sale now.
It is powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol engine and electric motor combination as the standard Outlander PHEV – so it emits 44g/km CO2 and returns 148mpg. Like its sister model, it is eligible for the Government’s £5000 plug-in car grant.
Inside, the GX5h and GX5hs adds nappa leather seats, dash, door and console lining, a seven speaker Alpine hi-fi system, front and rear seats and a twin rear USB charging port.
Exterior features include integrated side steps, a rear spoiler, an Outlander bonnet badge and LED fog lamps over the standard model.
“The GX5h and GX5hs plug-in hybrid Outlanders offer such a fantastic package of benefits for both companies and company car drivers – high specification, luxury feel, low running costs, strong environmental credentials. We are expecting it to quickly populate company car choice lists UK-wide,” said Clive Messenger, head of corporate sales, Mitsubishi UK.
