The Association of British Insures has announced that Huw Evans will succeed Otto Thoresen as the director general of the association in February.
Thoresen will become the chairman of the National Employment Savings Trust, while Paul Evans will continue as the chairman of the ABI.
“In the current environment of high levels of regulatory and legislative change across the insurance sector, the need for an effective trade body is greater than ever, there is huge value to be gained from collaborative efforts on key policy issues,” said Huw Evans, incoming director general, ABI.
