We didn’t really think through the trip to Ikea.
If we had, we would have asked the pertinent question of just how we were going to transport three ‘Billy’ shelving units, the tallest of which was more than 2m, before they were stacked on the trolley and on their way to the check-out – along with other furnishings, three kids and a full-size pushchair. Plus a couple of parents.
Thankfully the Zafira, with its seven seats, flexibility and length, saved us. The passenger front seat had to be pushed right forward, and my five-year old had to sit in one of the rearmost seats, but neither was a problem for the occupants.
