The only awards that recognise the best technology in fleet, the BusinessCar Techies, are once again open for entries for 2013.
Now in their fifth year, the BusinessCar Fleet Technology Awards aim to showcase the best and most advanced systems, software and engineering that helps fleet managers to do their job more efficiently.
In 2013, the categories roll over from last year, which means there are 12 areas that will be assessed.
The awards cover all the major subjects of the industry with awards including safety, fuel economy, fleet management, innovation and customer service – all the things that business car operators need to use and need to know about on a daily basis.
So, if you’re a supplier, car manufacturer or fleet operator and want to have a go at being branded the best for technology, then enter one, or more, of the 12 Techie categories (see links, right).
You’ll need to submit an entry of no more than 300 words stating which category the submission is for and describing why your system, software, service, kit or car is the best there is. Entries should be emailed to editorial@businesscar.co.uk with the subject line ‘Techies’.
The BusinessCar Techies will be judged by a panel of industry experts including ACFO deputy chairman Damian James and chaired by BusinessCar editor Paul Barker.
Last year judges praised the high quality of the entries and the way the technology worked to make lives safer and the role of the fleet manager easier. This year the panel expects entrants to once again impress and hopefully surpass these standards.
The closing date for entries is 5pm on 12 July. Techies winners will be revealed in BusinessCar magazine and online at www.businesscar.co.uk on 20 August.
